"The CISA Advanced Racing clinic personifies the ultimate discipline and training style you need to become a champion. No matter how much your skill has progressed, you will benefit from this clinic. I was a member of the US Sailing Team and multiple national champion and attended the CISA clinic when I was 19 years old (2002). It felt like my first year and there was so much new information.   The clinic knows how to bump up the level of coaching every year, expecting the sailors to become champions. I've done five CISA clinics and won three of the post-clinic regattas. I still know I can take a lot back from a CISA clinic if I did it again. CISA is one big reason why I was the top American at the Laser Worlds this year!"

The California International Sailing Association (CISA), a non-profit organization established in 1971, benefits youth amateur sailing. Through travel grants, direct sponsorship, and racing clinics CISA has helped amateur youth meet their sailing goals.

The result of CISA's support of youth sailors affirms the goal of our project. Since 1984, CISA has advanced more than $5 million to sailors and campaigns throughout the country. Past students of CISA clinics include U.S. and Youth World Champions, One-Design Class Winners and Olympic Medallists. Beyond sailing accomplishments our students also achieve academic and civic award. We hope that a CISA student not only walks away from one of our clinics knowing how to find the best hole on a starting line, but also the benefits of long-term project planning and continuing involvement in the sport of Sailing.

CISA relies on contributions of corporations and individuals to provide support of amateur sailors. For the benefit of our sponsors CISA maintains tax exempt status under section 501.c.3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
